Following an extremely successful Legends Lunch in 2024, Merseyside Youth Association Ltd (MYA) again held a Legends Lunch at Liverpool Shankly Hotel on Thursday 4th December 2025.

Whilst Jan Molby attended the 2024 lunch, which was a brilliant afternoon, 2025 saw Phil Thompson provide his support for the charity.

MOFS, along with our sister company Instant Title Solutions Ltd, were honoured to be the joint main sponsors for the lunch, which it is hoped will become an annual event and one that people mark down in the calendar to attend every year.

“Tommo” proved to be a very entertaining speaker, captivating the audience with his anecdotes and his effervescent personality. Andrew Gibbons, our Managing Director and also the MYA Chair, said “I was really grateful to Phil (Thompson) for agreeing to support our annual Legends Lunch. Everyone agreed he was very entertaining both during the lunch, and in particular during his presentation to the wider audience. Hopefully with his presence and the hard work of the MYA team, particularly Lauren Evans who organised the lunch, we have been able to raise much needed funds for the charity”.

Phil Thompson said “It is a pleasure to be able to support a charity such as MYA and to be able to recognise all of the good work they do in giving opportunities to young people in Merseyside”.

The event proved to be a wonderful afternoon and it was great to catch up with some guests from a range of our clients. We would like to thank them for attending and I would also like to thank AXA Insurance for taking a table at the lunch, and also particular thanks to Griffiths & Armour (2 tickets with hospitality to an upcoming Liverpool game – raised £500) and Allianz (signed England Rugby Union Shirt – raised £950) for generously providing raffle/auction prizes.
